I am self-taught photographer and have lived my entire life in southern California where I have always been drawn to the outdoors and wildlife. I have been an avid photographer for over forty years since receiving my first SLR camera, but in the past twenty-five years it has become an obsession. I spend most of my time pursuing wildlife subjects in optimal locations and keeping current in all the technical aspects of nature photography. I only photograph wild animals and birds and do not photograph at game farms, zoos, or at captive locations.

The majority of the time I photograph along the coastline, desert, and mountains of southern California but I make several trips each year outside California. In the past several years I have traveled throughout the western United States, to the Alaskan and Canadian Arctic, the Pribilof Islands in the Bering Sea, eastern Quebec, the Canadian Rockies, Iceland, Costa Rica, Brazil, Ecuador, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, India, Indonesia, Finland, Chile, Norway, and Svalbard. Specifically, I have taken several trips to concentrate on the three bear species of North America [Black Bear, Brown Bear (Grizzly), and Polar Bear] and to photograph the world's marquis land predator and great ape species.

If you wish to see more of my work, or have a request for a specific species please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
